Many women were instrumental in the foundation of our workhouses - Mary-Anne McCracken founded Clifton House the Belfast Workhouse - which is why four female playwrights have been approached to explore this difficult issue.

This project will creatively combine fact and fiction whilst offering citizens and visitors alike an entertaining opportunity to explore historical locations.
